How does the educational (EDU) verification process work?

To authorize your copy of Bitwig Studio EDU, we need to verify your status as a student or faculty member at an accredited educational institution. The process differs slightly depending on where the purchase is made. See below for details.

A) I want to purchase Bitwig Studio EDU from the Bitwig webshop.

After your purchase of Bitwig Studio EDU from our webshop, please follow the steps below to complete the verification process:

• Create a Bitwig user account at www.bitwig.com. Please ensure the e-mail address and personal information is the same used to purchase your license and matches your chosen form of ID.
• Send your user account name, the reference number from your purchase receipt and a scan of your student or faculty ID to activation@bitwig.com.
• If you don't have a student or faculty ID, please provide a scan of your personal ID, a copy of your current curriculum and a link to your school.

Please allow 1-2 working days to confirm your educational status.

Once your student or faculty status has been confirmed we will notify you via email that your licence has been activated.

B) I want to purchase Bitwig Studio EDU from an online or physical store.

Your educational status will be verified by the retailer. Please follow their instructions to complete the verification process. When purchasing from a physical store, please bring your student, faculty or personal ID and a copy of your current curriculum.
