On Splice Licenses and Bitwig Accounts

To activate Bitwig Studio with a Splice license, you'll need a Bitwig account. When activating Bitwig Studio for the first time, you'll be prompted to create a new account or log in to an existing one.

Can I run Bitwig Studio via Splice when I'm offline?

You'll need to connect to the internet at least once every three days to keep your Splice license active. If you are offline longer than three days, you may not be able to start Bitwig Studio. If this is the case, make sure the Splice desktop app is running and reconnect to the internet to activate your Splice license.

What happens after my Rent-to-Own period is completed?

Once the Rent-to-Own period is completed, you'll receive your Bitwig Studio license serial from Splice. Register this license serial in your Bitwig account, and you can then activate Bitwig Studio permanently.

Can I run Bitwig Studio via Splice if I already have Bitwig Studio?

Yes. You can sign up for a Splice Rent-to-Own plan even if you already have Bitwig Studio 8-Track, 16-Track, or any other version of Bitwig Studio — including the trial.
