Since then, his career has encompassed heavy metal (with pioneering thrash metal band Threinody), psychedelic electronic music (Prematron), prog/ambient (Akashic), and retro-futurist synthwave (Tron 1982).
Premik’s career has been driven by a passion to explore sound design, synthesis, and electronic music production. Over the years, he has performed and collaborated with numerous artists and projects, including internationally acclaimed musician Talvin Singh, further expanding his musical vocabulary across electronic, world, and contemporary genres.
Beyond performing and production, Premik is also a respected music educator and technology specialist with decades of experience in music production, synthesis, sound design, and live performance technology. He has worked closely with leading global brands including Native Instruments, Novation, Focusrite, and Universal Audio. He is also an official Roland Artist, endorsed for both Roland synthesizers and Boss guitar effects.
With a career that bridges metal, electronic music, synthwave, sound design, and education, Premik Jolly continues to remain a driving force in India’s evolving independent music and music technology landscape.
