Javier Melgar, más conocido como Animatek, lleva en la escena musical Española desde el año 94, en el que empezó a producir con una Roland TB-303 y una TR-909 en el grupo Brainrack.
Fue miembro fundador del imprescindible netlabel MIGA y creador de la web animatek.net la cual ha ido mutando de portal de noticias con un foro a lo que es hoy, una tienda de cursos y clases privadas online.
En solitario, bajo el aka de Animatek, son conocidos sus dinámicos directos de techno con un importante grado de improvisación. Usando todo tipo de software, loopeando a tiempo real y usando Biitwig como cerebro de todo el directo.
Desde el 2018 está enfocado en su canal de Youtube y Twitch donde hace streamings de producción musical, tutoriales de Bitwig y VCV RACK, que junto con su servidor de Discord se orienta a generar una gran comunidad en la que aprender y compartir.
Además Javier imparte clases privadas online y hace cursos presenciales, talleres por toda España y online.

Javier Melgar, better known as Animatek, has been in the Spanish music scene since 1994, when he started producing with a Roland TB-303 and a TR-909 in the band Brainrack.
He was a founding member of the essential net label MIGA and creator of the website animatek.net, which has evolved over the years from a news portal with a forum to what it is today, a source for courses and private online lessons.
As a solo artist, under the name Animatek, he is known for his dynamic techno live performances with a focus on improvisation. He uses all kinds of software, loops in real time, and uses Bitwig Studio as the brain of the whole live set.
Since 2018 he is focused on his Youtube and Twitch channels, where he makes music production streams and Bitwig and VCV RACK tutorials. Those outlets, along with his Discord server, are oriented to creating a great community devoted to learning and sharing.
In addition to his online courses, Javier also offers face-to-face workshops all over Spain.
