Damian Baca is an American producer, mix engineer, and educator based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Over the last 16 years, he's built a body of work spanning original electronic releases under 9 Live Roses and Black Soul Collective, mix and master engineering for independent artists across multiple genres, and one-on-one mentorship for producers globally.
He currently mentors at Mastering.com, where he's trained over 2,000 engineers through 1:1 sessions and intensive cohorts. He also publishes craft and workflow content for producers on his YouTube channel, Sonic Strategist Society. His teaching focuses on the alignment between technical craft, business systems, and the daily discipline that turns repetition into mastery.
His current artist project 9 Live Roses focuses on heavy bass music with cinematic restraint.
