Watch Iterate Break Down His Grid Alchemy Presets
Have you checked out Grid Alchemy yet? The third sound package in our FX Expansions series features 70 presets exploring the depth and breadth of FX Grid. Glitch maestro and Grid expert Andrei Olenev, aka Iterate, designed 15 of the package's presets, and he's made two tutorial videos explaining how to get the best out of them. Glitch FX
The first video focuses on Iterate's trademark glitch devices. The centerpiece is a powerful FX sequencer inspired by a long lineage of sequenced glitch plug-ins. It lets you combine multiple lanes of processing and customize the patch's FX to mangle audio in whole new ways.
Waveshapers
The second video explores a suite of custom waveshaping patches, from functional to freaky. The simpler patches cover ordinary waveshaping needs (need your 808 bass a little thicker?). The more complex patches use phase splitting to process regions of the waveform differently, for complex timbres and exploratory sound-shaping.
