Will Bitwig Studio support:
| VST(i)? | Yes, VST effects and instruments are supported in 32- and 64-bit versions. Bitwig Studio runs VSTs in a separate process. This prevents Bitwig Studio from crashing when a plug-in misbehaves. |
| AU plugins (OSX)? | Bitwig Studio won't support AU in version 1.0. We will consider supporting AU at a later stage. |
| OSC? | We plan to offer OSC support in the future, however not in version 1.0. |
| ReWire? | There is no ReWire support planned, but if you want to route audio and MIDI between different applications, you might want to take a look at the JACK Audio Connection Kit, which is available for OSX, Win and Linux. |
Will Bitwig Studio offer a
Groove/Swing/Shuffle function?
Yes, Groove can be applied to note and
audio clips.
Will Bitwig Studio offer mappings for
hardware controllers?
Yes, we plan to offer default mappings for the
most popular MIDI controllers right out of the box. We will also
offer an open API so that interested users and developers can create
their own controller support using JavaScript and share their
scripts with the Bitwig community.
When will the collaboration feature
become available?
This feature is planned for version 2.0.
Will the Linux version of Bitwig Studio
support:

I signed up to be a beta tester long ago,
but never got an invite. Why?
We just sent out beta invites to our first group
of testers and will be rolling out more invites gradually based on
the amount of feedback and bug reports we get. This staged rollout
process gives us the time we need to address the most urgent issues
and will help us avoid receiving too many duplicate bug reports.
How can I get involved?
Drop us a line anytime with your feedback and your ideas. We're
happy to hear from you and try to answer every question we get. (contact@bitwig.com)
Currently there aren't any available
positions in the jobs section, can I apply anyway?
Of course! If you think your talents may fit into the Bitwig world
in the future, you can send your application to jobs@bitwig.com.
